The Richland/Lexington program begins a new initiative called “PASOs Adelante” or “Steps Forward”
In August, 2010 the Richland/Lexington program has begun a new initiative called “PASOs Adelante” or “Steps Forward” consisting of educational events in the evenings for families that have graduated from the prenatal classes. Every other month, all PASOs families will be invited to come together, share, and learn about a topic of interest. Topics to be covered will include: child safety, steps toward childhood literacy, understanding Medicaid, and many other things that the families want to know more about. The team of peer educators or “promotores” will help with these events.
