La Familia: Reaching and working effectively with Latino Families.
On July 19th, the PASOs Programs and the USC Consortium for Latino Immigration Studies will hold a training called La Familia: Reaching and working effectively with Latino Families. Fifty-one home visitors from around the state will participate in this training in which they will learn about the Latino culture and values, the immigration law, and how to work effectively with Latino families; they will also do an organizational assessment that will help them plan better services for the Latino families in SC. This training is sponsored by Children’s Trust of South Carolina and counts with the support of SC Appleseed Legal Justice Center and Puentes Community Ambassadors.
