A grant from The Duke Endowment will focus on prevention through the training of Latino community health leaders who will provide culturally appropriate health messages to Latina women and families.

Eduardo del Castillo Valadez, communication specialist from Mexico, has been invited by PASOs from Mexico to facilitate two workshops around communication and advocacy with PASOs staff and partners, and Puentes Project Community Ambassadors on January 12 and 13.

Riverbanks Zoo, Yoghut and Gardens and Monkey Joe’s of Lexington and Columbia have donated incentivees for families who complete the 15-hour parenting training workshops!

Lucy Willms and Romina McCandless of PASOs will be presenting a workshop entitled “Outreach Models That Work with Hard to Reach Populations” at the South Carolina Primary Health Care Association Network Retreat

Andrea Pajón, Program Coordinator of PASOs and the Hispanic Folic Acid Project in Greenville wrote a feature story on folic acid that was published in Click magazine. Read the article here.
