PASOs

PASOs offers a prenatal education course in Spanish using a curriculum that is based on Latino cultural values. The course consists of a total of fourteen hours of sharing and discussion. Each session provides information and resources on a range of subjects.

The course is free and available to all expectant Latinas and their support persons. It is taught by a bilingual and bicultural instructor and transportation and childcare are available. The course is offered throughout the year and schedules may vary depending on the site. Upon completion of the course, graduates receive a certificate of completion and gifts for themselves and their babies.

	CLASS 1 Overcoming barriers encountered in prenatal care and recognizing warning signs in pregnancy.
	CLASS 2 Eating right and other ways to help your baby be born healthy.
	CLASS 3 The delivery and postpartum process, and thinking through important decisions.
	CLASS 4 Breastfeeding, and ways to keep your newborn safe and healthy.
